Few months back I went to the launch of this Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon, so today I will be sharing full review on trying this lip crayon for a few months. I am really excited to tryout the matte lip crayon from Burt’s Bees because they are well known with their lip moisturising lip balm and I bet this matte lip crayon will be very moisturising to my lip.

Burts Bees Lip Crayon Review1

This lip crayon has a total of 6 different creamy matte shades available. The shades are Carolina Coast. Napa Vineyard. Niagara Overlook, Redwood Forest. Sedona Sand and Hawaiian Smolder. Ever thought lipstick is something we eat? I do eat my lipstick all the time, so I am really happy to know that these lip crayon are made from natural ingredient. This lip crayon has a lightweight formula that will moisture your lip for a comfortable wear. They infused with Shea Butter, Kendi Oil and Jojoba Oil.

I find these lip crayon in fact are very moisturising compared to other matte lipstick I have tried so far but it is not as moisturising as other non matte lipstick. Lip balm before application is necessary to ensure the lips is fully moisturised for smooth application. I find these lip crayon very easy to use. The lip crayon form help precise application and also the creamy formula apply smooth on my lip. Now let me show you the colour on my lip and share with you more on what i think on each colour.

Burts Bees Lip Crayon Review4 Me wearing Niagara Overlook

Among all, I love Hawaiian Smolder the most. This shade is like a soft bright fuchsia pink. This is the only shade that is more opaque and bright on my lips. The only shade that can see the colour on one swipe. The rest need a few more swipe.

Carolina Coast is a very light pink and quite milky in colour so not many can pull off this colour even me also quite hard. This shade is the hardest to apply as it tend to set into my crack lines. Also it’s really hard to get the colour to appear on my lip. This is after 3 swipe I think.

Niagara Overlook also another shade that is very hard to see the colour once applied to the lip. It’s a creamy coral shade. It will also emphasize my lip line but not as bad as Carolina coast.

Last shade is Redwood Forest also quite disappointing shade. I expect the shade to be very dark in colour but turn our it’s just a light plum shade. This one also quite hard to get the colour out on my lip but better than Niagara Overlook and Carolina Coast.

Overall, I like that these matte lip crayon is not drying to my lip. The texture is like my other non matte lipstick. Sad thing is the most of the shade is too light on my lip but this means you can wear this lip crayon daily as the colour is not too bold. Well, I prefer bolder colour or at least the Redwood Forest should be more opaque in colour. I find the price rather hefty for the the colour payoff but considering it is made from all natural ingredient it’s actually quite alright. I think if you want a colour that can be wear daily for work or school this will be just nice for you. However if you want something unique for special occasion then don’t bother looking at it.
Alright, i think this is the end of this review.

“Let me know if you found any other matte lipstick that does not dries out the lip!! I needed one!!”

Got to go now.. Bye Bye lovelies…
