Monday, August 11, 2014

Good Morning, it’s a brand new week. Monday usually a busy day for me, are you busy as well? Thus, today I’ll be doing a brief review on this Konjac sponge I won’t take up too much of your time. So I heard so much about this sponge over the beauty blogsphere but I it didn’t really caught my attention to purchase them until one day Arpita told me this sponge could help in reducing the appearance of oil seed. So then I went over to Luxola to purchase them!!

Product Info
Product Name : Konjac Sponge Puff with French Pink Clay
Price : RM 43
Where to Buy : Luxola (Malaysia) | Konjac Sponge Website (International)
Skin Type : All Skin Type including Sensitive Skin

Konjac Sponge comes in three type French Green Clay, French Pink Clay and also Bamboo Charcoal. I got the Pink Clay as it is almost similar to the green one only with higher iron oxide presence.
A fabulous deep cleansing, gentle exfoliating, facial sponge with French red clay. This  is similar in properties to French green with the colour difference being attributed to a higher presence of iron oxide. Red clay cleans out the skin from the layers of dead keratinized cells and it accelerates the regeneration process. It is said to improve blood circulation and makes the skin look radiant, and hydrated, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and broken capillaries. So perfect for dryer or mature skin that needs rejuvenating.
So how do you use this sponge? First you have to run water on the sponge to let the sponge to absorb the water and the sponge will become spongy and soft.  Massage your skin in circular motion concentrating on problem and delicate area. You can also add your daily cleanser on to the sponge to help further cleanse your skin. After using, just rinse the sponge, squeeze dry (never twist or wring) and hang it to air dry.

Konjac Sponge Pink Clay4 The sponge after 8/9 days usage...

On side of the sponge are in round shape and the other side are flat surface. I normally use the round side to massage my face and the flat surface for my under eyes.

I love that the sponge come with a string for easy storage and drying…  The sponge size is not too huge so it’s not hard to handle with my palm and fingers.

On my first usage I was impressed with how smooth my face become… The smoothness feels like a layer of gel lubricant on my face such a unique feeling…. It’s like magical and I can see my face brighten up and look more radiant.. I use it day and night everyday… On the first week I still love what it does to my face.. Entering second week the sponge seems to loose it’s effectiveness and start to torn apart and since then I stop using them as once the sponge torn apart the tiny particle of sponge will came off as I massage it on my face…

All in all I do love that the sponge deep cleanse my face and gently exfoliates my skin. Also love the fact that it can be use on my eyes area….My skin also feel relaxed when i use this sponge. I didn’t see that my pore appearance is reduced nor my oil seed size reduced… I was rather disappointed with it as it torn apart on second week instead of 3 months as what they claimed… I expect it to last at least a month may be?

Question: Did you try any facial sponge before? How does they score?

So now leave me a comment and get back to work ya!!! Good luck at work!! XOXO
