Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Spring is arriving and who doesn’t love flower??? I do love flower because look so beautiful with different bright hues and they smell so so good… I always attracted to product with floral scent especially rose one. Today I am going talk about this lovely cleansing water made using rose petal, Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water. You remember my last review on BRTC Calming BB Remover which I love so much too and I talk about the another remover that I love so much too?? Yeah this is the one I am talking about. Currently both BRTC an Nuxe are my favourite makeup remover.

Introduction

I am impressed with all the chemist or dermatologist skillset and knowledge that they able to keep on inventing new product that make our life much easier. This Micellar cleansing water are not similar to the normal cleansing water we always see. The differences lies within the word Micellar. Micellar is like a solvent but mostly are water and that explain how it able to dissolve (loosen) the makeup and lift it up without rubbing your skin thus maintaining skin’s physiological balance.

Packaging

Like all other Nuxe product, it come it a solid plastic bottle with a flip cap. I love the flip cap because it’s so convenient that you don’t required to screw it in after that and it cause a lot of mess when you need to do so.

One thing though the bottle is not see through so you will not be able to see when is the product going to finish..You will need to guess by it’s weight..

Texture & Scent

It has a light yellow smooth watery texture with a delicate rose scent. The texture is just smooth but not oily at all…

How to use

Just pour sufficient amount on your facial cotton and wipe it off.. You may need more to soak your eyelashes with waterproof mascara and I take two to three round of soaking and wiping off to remove all eyeliner and mascara away. As for face 2 round is more than sufficient to remove all my foundation away.

It is not required to rinse off with water or to tone your face you can proceed to moisturised your face. It will leave a slight oil film after you wipe off the makeup and dirt but that is perfectly normal because that is the hyaluronic acid which will ensure your skin is moist and supple.
As for me because I always use waterproof mascara on my lashes I have to rinse with water to remove it thoroughly and after that I use a cotton bud to soak with the micellar water to remove any remaining mascara traces on my eyes. If you use only a light makeup on your eye you can proceed with your eye cream without rinsing off.

Cindy’s Thought

I fell in love with the lovely rose scent when I flip the cap, they smell so intense but yet delicate… When I first use it on my face I don’t like it because of the oil film it leave after removing the makeup. Then I learn it is the hyaluronic acid which help soften my face I start to love using it.

It is very delicate for my face and eyes. It does not sting my eyes nor cause any dryness on my skin like some remover does. One thing I love about water based makeup remover is it does not leave oil traces on your skin which may clog your pores over time. Also with this micellar cleansing water rinsing off and toning is not required… That kind of save two of my skincare step!! Great for traveling I said!
The below picture show my face after first round of removing but you can still see some foundation traces as well as the mascara and eyeliner traces under my eyes.

Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water5After first round of removing makeup
After third round removing, my face are pretty clean but not eyes area. So yes eye makeup remover with oil content is more effective especially for those thick and dramatic eye makeup.

As much as I love this the pull back is you may need extra work to clean your make up thoroughly like you may need facial cotton to soak with the remover and wipe off you makeup with two round at least but you do not need to wash off with water… So I think nothing is perfect in this world?

It can be used to remove eye makeup but like I mentioned more rounds of removing is required. I still think designated eye makeup remover is more appropriate and efficient in removing waterproof eye make up. Though sometime I still love using it to remove my eye makeup because it’s so delicate and it’s not oily….and yes the scent play a major role in making me using them every time!
