This morning I went to my car to start up the engine as usual….. Before I reach my car, my eyes is tearing and my throat feel sore!! Can you believe it? It’s a mere few minutes outdoor breathing of the polluted air can cause discomfort! I guess I start breath in the polluted air even when I hiding in my room!!! In fact this polluted air which caused haze can travel easily throughout the entire atmosphere…. Thus, I am not surprised if the air circulating in my house is polluted too!
During these day I think there are a few items you might need to ensure you don’t fall sick easily or to treat you discomfort cause my these polluted air!

1. N95 Mask

Based on my study from the web, mask with grade N95 is effective in filtering fine particles that are about 0.1 to 0.3 microns. Haze particle size are between 2.5 micrometres or smaller. So, I think this mask able to filter the haze particle and enable us to breath in cleaner air. Surgical mask might not be effective in filtering fine particle.

2. Water

Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. These polluted air is very dry and stuffy so ensuring your body is hydrated is extremely important!

3. Fruits, Vitamins and Supplement

Eat more fruits as they are rich in vitamins and help to detoxified the body too. Do take some supplements or vitamin to increased your immune system! So that you have strong body to fight against the polluted air!!

4. Air Purifier

You might need air purifier to remove contaminants from air. This will help treat the air in your surrounding so you can breath in a fresher air!

5. Eucalyptus Oil

I have sinus since I am small… Recently I found out that this oil does help a lot when I have runny nose. I just need to pour few drop onto a tissue and lay it beside my pillow and inhale it when I sleep and no more runny nose. So if you caught a flu due to the hazy air then this might be helpful!

Eucalyptus oil is also used for treating fever and reducing body temperature. This is why one of the common names of eucalyptus oil is “fever oil”. Haze can easily cause fever especially when your immune system is running low. Just put 10 drops eucalyptus oil into 150ml water then use small tower to squeeze excess water and do cold compress.
