OBLIVION

Good morning people, I am trying to blog this early morning. Wonder if you guys prefer morning post or evening one more. Do drop a comment so I know when to publish my post alright? Let’s move on the Movie review, I know you can’t hold on further!! I can’t!

What you get if toss in two of the biggest names in movie industry into one sci-fi action adventure movie? It would be entertainment at its finest.

Oblivion, directed by Joseph Kosinski whom had previously directed Tron: Legacy, Oblivion is set to thrill movie audience with its special effect laden and amazing graphic imagery which is absolutely brilliant.

Casting as the main character, Tom Cruise is set to play Jack Harper whose existence is threatened by deception of unknown past. Along the cast is Morgan Freeman whose quick witted and calm persona maintains the cool presence of the insurgent leader, Malcolm Beech. Talk about a-list stars.

Set in the distant future, Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) is one of the last few drone mechanics stationed on Earth, which was nearly destroyed by an alien invasion 60 years earlier and the surface looks like a barren of wasteland. Closing for completion of his mission, Jack would soon get tossed into array of chaos with arrival of a mysterious female stranger whom has a mysterious past which is connected to Jack and the sudden appearance of a insurgent leader that would show Jack of a past and secret which was kept hidden by his previous controller.

Good flow into the storyline however, poor execution of certain aspect which would minus several marks. Well played on the marketing strategy as most details were kept secret till the last couple of months which further fuelled by anticipation of the upcoming movies. Most might feel that even with Cruise and Freeman on board, there is more room for improvement on the plot and chemistry between characters. Nevertheless, its great watch for all while awaiting the man in iron suit to make his appearance. So catch the movie in the cinema near you today.
