Last weekend, I have to work in my office though it supposed to be a off day for me. For the sake of  get more $$ to feed more food into my big tummy, enabling me to share more dining experience to my readers.

My friends were walking around in the malls waiting for me to finished off my work. After 2 hour she whatapps me screaming for hungriness!!

Yuki suggested to have our late lunch @ Santouka Tokyo Street @Level 6. Assuring me that her last visit here was a memorable ones.

Menu is rather simple, just select type of soup and then decide whether you prefer individual bowl or come in a set.

“Santouka specifically simmer the pork bones right before adding in the vegetable, dried fish, kelp and other special ingredients to produce the mild, pearl-colored Tonkotsu soup.  Santouka ensure their soup never boiled which enable the soup to maintain at it’s most optimum temperature, where everyone could enjoys the best of it!!”

Shoyu, Shio and Spicy Miso are the 3 soups on the menu! Shoyu is based on soy sauce, Shio is salt based and Spicy miso is of course based on hot soy bean paste!

Not a spicy lover, we chose Shio Ramen & Shoyu Ramen. The only difference is the broth flavor, the ramen, pork slice and vegetables added is similar. We love Shoyu Ramen more as the stronger pork aroma perfected the bowl of ramen. The sesame grain add another notch on the entire soup flavor.

While Shio is lighter and more neutral..

The handmade ramen has a very good springiness rating but we can still taste slight wax coating flavor.

The pork slice was well prepared. Lean and flavorful.

The set we select come with Steam Rice top with Grilled Salmon & Salmon Roe. Simple rice bowl with no comment from us except the slight fishiness of the big salmon roe. Sadly Chawan Mushi and Salad doesn't leave any strong memory on my brain...
